Both my me and my mum are a little bit addicted to kitchen gadgets, between us I am sure we must have tested everything going from food processors to milk frothers. Some have really cut the mustard, others have been middle of the road and then of course we have those that have been tried and failed and others that are buried away in the cupboard that are yet to see the light of day.
Having two little toast monsters there is rarely a day that passes that the toaster doesn't earn its worth, popping out slice after slice and still even though both boys are fully weaned the hand blender usually gets a daily workout. I have the slow cooker at the ready as I have spotted some great little receipes and it's ideal for days when I am at work.
There are however a few kitchen gadgets that I really couldn't live without, the kettle being one. Yes i had that horrible moment this week where the kettle wouldn't switch on. Desperate for a brew-and ready to prepare the tiny man's feed - i did the frantic trying other sockets only to see light flick on and off, and I realised just how much I use it. I was saved from my brew nightmare by a quick thinking friend who had a spare on standby. Note to self for the future - this is a genius idea, as I dash off to buy two new kettles.
